QArea and Angelinos Coffee & Tea: Ecommerce platform functional testing case analysed
Verdict: what is checkable
The evidence grade (this site's label for how a case is sourced: primary with client or press confirmation, secondary when vendor-hosted only.) is secondary: the only source is the vendor's own page; the case publishes no metric, so nothing in it can be checked as a figure. [ev-1690]

Problem as stated
The online coffee and tea store, released in 2015 and updated many times, needed updates and new features. Its back end lacked user operations such as invitations and gifts for invited users. The old payment system could not change the next delivery date on active subscriptions, so it had to be replaced, and the store wanted a newsletter subscription system. QA support was required at every stage. [ev-1690]
we had to provide QA support at every stage of project development.(quoted from the source)

Reading notes for a buyer
This case speaks to the scenario “Payments and PCI scope” and feeds dimension D2 (Retail system coverage) of the methodology. A question to put to QArea:
What did the security testing cover around the new payment system and subscription billing, and was any PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard: the security rules for any business that stores, processes or transmits card data.) scope defined? [ev-1690]
